Dos Algarves: Tourism, Hospitality & Management Journal (DATHMJ) is an academic journal based at the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism at the University of the Algarve. Originally founded in 1995, the journal was initially entitled Dos Algarves, and became Dos Algarves: A Multidisciplinary e-Journal in 2012. In 2022, the decision was taken to alter the title once again, to reflect the scope and focus of the publication. The main aims of the journal are: (i) To disseminate and share original research in the broad areas of tourism, hospitality and management, as well as related areas; (ii) To create a platform for international and national academic discussion in the above-mentioned areas. Dos Algarves publishes two issues per year and welcomes submissions of three types of articles: full research papers (resulting from empirical studies and/or theoretical perspectives); critical literature reviews; and research reports. For more information, please consult the Call for Papers. All articles submitted to Dos Algarves: Tourism, Hospitality & Management Journal follow a three-step selection process: (i) initial selection by the editors; (ii) double blind peer review by two or more experts in the research area; (iii) final review by a language specialist. The journal publishes articles in Portuguese or English and follows an open access policy. There are no publishing charges or submission charges. The views, opinions and concepts expressed in the articles are sole responsibility of the authors, and do not reflect the views and opinions of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts can be submitted at any time; please consult the Guidelines for Submission before submitting your work.
