The Portuguese Journal of General and Family Medicine (RPMGF) is the scientific official organ of the Portuguese Association of General and Family Medicine. The journal aims to contribute to the development of the speciality of General and Family Medicine and to strengthen Primary Health Care through the publication of articles on basic, epidemiological and clinical research, health services research, medical education, review articles, case and practice reports and opinion articles, among others. It has been published since 1984, and it is currently bimonthly (six issues per year). Since 2018, RPMGF has been published exclusively online under free access to the “Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND” license. All articles are peer-reviewed and identified by the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) system.
